House of the Month: Northridge Hall and Cottage

Timeless style, comforts, and pheasants
Whether walking the hallways in awe or savouring the countryside silence with a novel in the living spaces, it won’t be long before your eyes rest upon another piece of original art by the students of the University of Gloucestershire, or another pheasant picking its way along the lawn beyond the tall sash windows.

Northridge Hall and Cottage has style and comfort in abundance. Grand furnishings and modern features provide the best of homely balance. But the best part? The stunning Yorkshire countryside, home to peaks, moors and dales, is right on the doorstep…

Playtime perfection
Being ideal for large families and groups of friends, whether the plan is to relax, let loose or find just the right amount of both, you’re going to need your toys!

It’s just as well then that Northridge Hall and Cottage boasts a spacious games room full of distractions fit for all ages. And that’s also where you’ll find another highlight of the house: the two – that’s right, two7-seater hot tubs.

For younger guests, the walled garden is where they’ll find the play area with swings and slide, a Wendy house, and goal nets for football. Or why not grab the croquet set and get the whole family involved?

Your choice of two great cities
Just minutes away you’ll find the nearest train station. From there, it’s one stop to cultural York. Take in the castle, the Minster and the cobbled Shambles and its market, packed with delicious food, clothing, jewellery, art and more. The kids won’t want to leave as this is also where you’ll find a slice of the Harry Potter world – The Shop that Must Not Be Named. Get your hands on special wands and all manner of magical goods!

Leeds is another city ripe for exploration and it’s only 20 minutes away by car. Probably the best place for party-goers and families alike. With excellent bars, restaurants, museums and more you could easily spend the whole day there and still want to come back for more!
