Set within the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, Churchill Wood combines a rustic exterior with luxurious designer interiors. The exterior of the cottage is very traditional, resembling a working country farmhouse. The interiors are furnished in the same style, with beautiful furnishings and light filled rooms that are an absolute pleasure to stay in.
The property is located at the edge of the Cotswolds near Worcestershire, surrounded by orchards and small farms. There are a number of villages to explore in the local area, with craft shops and quality restaurants.
With seven bedrooms (two downstairs, five upstairs), the cottage is capable of accommodating up to 16 guests comfortably. Upon stepping into the building you will be impressed with modern and contemporary interior design style. The interiors retain their country house feel with exposed timber beams and timber floors. The cottage is impeccably restored and designed, with a very warm and inviting ambience.
Churchill Wood is vast, with many areas that suit large groups as well as smaller rooms to get away from the activity. On the ground floor you will find a huge kitchen, dining room, large sitting room, snug, playroom, bathroom, conservatory and two of the bedrooms. The first floor contains three more bedrooms (one with ensuite) and a bathroom. The second floor contains the final two bedrooms and another bathroom. The bedrooms have been designed with flexibility in mind and use zip-and-link beds that can be used as king-sized or split into twins.
The main living room features large comfortable sofas, a wood burning fireplace and a television for visitors to enjoy a film night or sky TV. There is also a log burning fireplace in the snug, which is a lovely space to curl up with a book or have a conversation. The cottage has wifi Internet, a DVD player with DVDs and an iPod dock for your favourite music.
A Foodies Delight!
Churchill Wood has a very large and beautiful kitchen with all of the modern conveniences that any budding chef would require. With its oak beams, beautiful timber countertops and plenty of natural light, the kitchen is a real pleasure to work in. All modern conveniences are supplied with an Aga, conventional oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and gas barbecue.
If you aren’t interested in cooking, a local chef can be booked to prepare a one off meal or cater your entire stay. Drop-off meals are also available and there are plenty of high-quality restaurants in nearby Worcester. If your group ventures out a little further, the Michelin starred Butcher’s Arms in Eldersfield provides world class food.
The huge dining table accommodates 16 people and there is plenty of seating on the terrace if you prefer to eat outside.

The property is surrounded by well manicured gardens with a wendy house, croquet set and swing set for children to enjoy. The games room will be the favourite indoor space for kids with plenty of activities including table football, air hockey, toys, and children’s books. The cottage also provides two cots and two high chairs.

- Paint your own pottery activities at Green Frog Pottery Shop
- Train rides on the Evesham Vale Light Railway
- Trek through the Drakelow Tunnels, a former underground military complex underneath Kingsford Country Park
- Picnics at the Evesham’s Abbey Park (named as one of the best picnic spots in the Cotswolds area)
- See Giraffes, Elephants, Limas, Zebras and other incredible animals at the West Midlands Safari Park!
- Enjoy a day out at the Gheluvelt Park in Worcester
- Visit the George Marshall Medical Museum and learn about the advancement of medicine in the last 250 years

Nearby Worcester has a wide variety of shops to visit including outlet shops and boutique shops. There are plenty of bars, clubs and bistros in Worcester if you want to have a night out on the town. Alternatively, you could try one of the many nearby village pubs, which offer delicious food, quality ale and great value for money.
There are a number of historical sites within a short drive of the property including
Worcester Cathedral, Malvern Theatre and Harvington Hall. There is also a day spa within short driving distance of the property.
