Cottage of the Month – Churchill Wood

Set within the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, Churchill Wood combines a rustic exterior with luxurious designer interiors.  The exterior of the cottage is very traditional, resembling a working country farmhouse.  The interiors are furnished in the same style, with beautiful furnishings and light filled rooms that are an absolute pleasure to stay in.

The property is located at the edge of the Cotswolds near Worcestershire, surrounded by orchards and small farms. There are a number of villages to explore in the local area, with craft shops and quality restaurants.

With seven bedrooms (two downstairs, five upstairs), the cottage is capable of accommodating up to 16 guests comfortably.  Upon stepping into the building you will be impressed with modern and contemporary interior design style.  The interiors retain their country house feel with exposed timber beams and timber floors.  The cottage is impeccably restored and designed, with a very warm and inviting ambience.

Churchill Wood is vast, with many areas that suit large groups as well as smaller rooms to get away from the activity.  On the ground floor you will find a huge kitchen, dining room, large sitting room, snug, playroom, bathroom, conservatory and two of the bedrooms.  The first floor contains three more bedrooms (one with ensuite) and a bathroom.  The second floor contains the final two bedrooms and another bathroom.  The bedrooms have been designed with flexibility in mind and use zip-and-link beds that can be used as king-sized or split into twins.

The main living room features large comfortable sofas, a wood burning fireplace and a television for visitors to enjoy a film night or sky TV.  There is also a log burning fireplace in the snug, which is a lovely space to curl up with a book or have a conversation.  The cottage has wifi Internet, a DVD player with DVDs and an iPod dock for your favourite music.

A Foodies Delight!

Churchill Wood has a very large and beautiful kitchen with all of the modern conveniences that any budding chef would require.  With its oak beams, beautiful timber countertops and plenty of natural light, the kitchen is a real pleasure to work in.  All modern conveniences are supplied with an Aga, conventional oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and gas barbecue.
