Pop some popcorn and gather the whole family together to flick through Netflix and Amazon Prime on the 75″ screen in the cinema room. Want the full cinema experience? Just call on the voice-activated curtains to close, no need to get up from the electric leather recliners.
There are Amazon Alexa speakers in most rooms, along with an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, so you can sing and dance the night away around the open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, whilst the BT superfast Broadband keeps the music streaming for you. If you are looking to get away from it all, retire to the grand Edwardian sitting room and cosy up with a book in front of the fireplace.
Windermere Retreat’s dining spaces are the perfect marriage of Edwardian elegance and modern-luxe living. The formal dining room, with its high ceilings and ornate detailing, seats ten guests comfortably for a long night of laughter, drinks and sophisticated dining. For a more relaxed affair, gather around the eight-seater table in the open-plan kitchen-diner for a Sunday morning breakfast with a coffee from the Nespresso machine, whilst the morning light streams through the vaulted windows.
There are plenty of designer appliances available in the kitchen for you chef it up, a-la-Jamie Oliver, including a large induction hob and three electric ovens, which include a plate warmer. Cook up a storm and follow dinner with a bottle of wine, kept cool in one of the four wine fridges. Then head to bed and let the two integrated dishwashers do the clean up for you.
If eating out is more your thing, the renowned Storrs Hall Hotel is just a short stroll from the property, along with other fabulous dining options from a range of famous Michelin one and two-star restaurants such as the Gilpin & Gilpin Spice, Rogan’s and L’Enclume. Alternatively, if you wish to sample creative Lakeland cuisine, try the numerous cosy local pubs and restaurants, which are a short and scenic country walk from your doorstep.

Aptly named after the Lakes most famous authors, poets and landmarks, each bedroom offers a high level of luxury, with streaming natural light and plush soft furnishings. The Grasmere Suite, sleeping two in a superking bed, offers spectacular lake views and an en-suite wetroom featuring large showers and a freestanding bath to soak and unwind. Or perhaps you will choose the Ambleside Suite, sleeping two, with its Smart TV kingsize bed for late nights or lazy mornings channel surfing, lake views and voice-activated blinds.
The Coniston room sleeps two in a double bed, with room for two more on a sofabed. Also with phenomenal lake views, Coniston is vast; with a 5 bay wardrobe, voice-activated blinds and soft lighting.
Also sleeping two a-piece are Ruskin and the Windermere Suite. Ruskin features a Smart TV, voice-activated blinds and soft lighting, where the Windermere Suite offers a large balcony with views across the lake, its own kitchen area and an en-suite wetroom. Windermere is a large, bright, open-plan space with floor to ceiling glass windows, which bring the beauty of the Lake District indoors.
