If you love cooking, you’ll love the kitchen here. It’s handmade, with double doors into the dining room with views over the paddocks. Pippy oak units, marble surfaces, a steam oven, coffee maker and double-drawer dishwasher should keep you happy. If not, The Water Margin, Bollywood Indian and Domino’s are on hand for takeaways.
The kitchen comes with high stools for casual breakfasting but you’ll want to gather in the exposed-brick dining room to break your bread and pass the wine. If you’ve got a musician in your ranks, they might serenade you on the grand piano in between courses. Alternatively, fire up the coal barbie out on the terrace beneath the wide skies.
Grab your pastries and pies from Cooplands, and your regular fare from Tesco and Lidl. Eating out? Just a wobbly walk down the lane, The Old Star offers real ales and fresh local menus served in front of a roaring fire. Meanwhile, community-owned The Bosville Arms offers seasonal menus and a warm welcome for dogs.
Head to The Blue Bell Inn for fine dining using local produce backed up by a bar offering real ales, malt whiskies, good vintage ports, fine wines and champagne by the glass. Enjoy the best of Indian dining at Trishna Tandoori, or tuck into spare ribs and crispy aromatic duck at China Palace.
West End Farm sleeps a dozen in six beautiful bedrooms, more with the add on of the annex, wrapped in John Lewis bedding and the blanketed hush that sits atop the Yorkshire Wolds. All bedrooms come with a 28” TV.
Bedrooms one, two and three, Golden, Front and Tropical, all offer a superking en-suite, while bedroom four, Yellow, is a double that shares the house bathroom with bedrooms five and six, Blue and Cream, which are both kingsize.
Over in the Annex another four guests can stay, Bedroom one has a king size bed and Bedroom two offers twin beds.

Kids can ride the glass lift through the ocean at The Deep, enjoy rides and shows at Flamingoland Resort and spot puffins and seals at rugged Flamborough Head.
