High Greenway Barn is a designer dream, yet still a homely and hearty Norfolk barn. Contemporary detail mixes with cool and easy elegance – perfect for reunions, relatives and revelry. Soak in the four-poster, be spoiled by our chef, reload your glass and recline on the terrace, lift your spirit in in the spa.
Eastern promise in East Anglia
Overlooking the Stiffkey River valley sits High Greenway Barn, one of five architect-restored farm buildings in North Barsham, Norfolk. Contemporary detail blends casually with a cool and easy elegance here that’s more Eastern promise than East Anglia. You’ll mix easily, too, with friends and family in the fabulous ambience.
Once a threshing barn, High Greenway Barn is now a stylish space for reunions, relatives and revelry. Bronze lanterns and coloured glass pick out embroidered cushions and wooden antiques. Fight over the four-poster with bath, chop and chat in the spacious kitchen (or call up the chef and sack the chopping), or sizzle some steaks on the terrace.
Outside, the courtyard garden faces the sun and smiles sweetly at the meadows and the Stiffkey river. Reload your glass, recline on a lounger and restore your sanity. In winter, walk off your dinner and thaw out on heated floors in front of roaring fires. High Greenway Barn is a bijou designer dream but as homely and hearty as it gets.
There’s TV for movie fans, table tennis and table football for the competitive, and access to a spa pool for anyone with the urgent need to chill. Sip bubbly in the bubbles, take it easy, savour every second. Life doesn’t improve much on this.
See the seals at Blakeney, watch the wildlife at Pensthorpe, walk the golden sands from Wells-Next-the-Sea to Holkham past the pine woods and beach huts. Elsewhere, there are steam trains, theme parks, castles, halls and abbeys galore. Find a fish restaurant or potter to the pub for a pint or two.
