Top 10 Tourist Places to Visit in Cornwall

Minack Theatre

Minack Theatre, Penzance

The Minack Theatre is open annually from May until September, and it’s a spectacular sight. Built in an Ancient Greek style in the early part of the twentieth century by Rowena Cade, the sea forms a dramatic backdrop to this stunning outdoor theatre.

St Michael’s Mount, Marazion

Like its French counterpart, Mont St Michel, in Brittany, St Michael’s Mount is an unbridged tidal island which is only accessible at low tide. With a curious conical shape, the island is now managed by the National Trust, and is the permanent home to just 35 people (as of 2011). Topped by a castle, legend had it that St Michael the Archangel appeared to local fishermen on St Michael’s Mount in the 5th century.

The Gardens also host specialist talks throughout the year, as well as allowing visitors to enjoy the seasonally changing delights of the Italian Garden, the “jungle”, and the pleasure grounds. Lost for almost 75 years, you’ll have an amazing time rediscovering these St Austell gardens.
