For the grown ups

Head out to Norfolk’s hauntingly beautiful north and east coastlines that feature fabulous beaches such as Holkham, renowned as the jewel in the crown of this coast. Brancaster, Sheringham and the sheltered, west-facing Hunstanton are also all worth an afternoon of your time.

Take your pick of picturesque coastal villages as well, such as Cley-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Weybourne, Overstrand and Cromer, or the galleries, boutiques and cafes of ancient Holt. Don’t miss the local history, either, with National Trust properties at Felbrigg Hall, Holkham Hall and Blickling offering fine historic homes and gardens.

Battle the wind as well as the rough at stunning Royal Cromer Golf Club, perched on the clifftops and ranked as one of the top 100 courses in England. Assassinate some clay pigeons at Go Ballistic. Explore the coast with Sea and Pine Cycle Hire in Sheringham. Or walk the dramatic North Norfolk Coast Path.

Fish for mackerel off Cromer Pier. Canoe in shallow waters with Hunstanton Kayaks, or out on the river with The Canoe Man. Or swish through the centre of Norwich with Pub and Paddle. Finish the day in The Gangway, Cromer’s first choice for cocktails, craft beers, Norfolk spirits, cakes and pastries.
