Enjoy the peace of the secret chapel garden, blissfully quiet. The chapel garden is a great photo location for guests booking Polpier and Penpol.
Living Spaces
The main sitting room at Penpol is a welcoming room with french doors opening out onto the sun terrace. Warm up on winter nights and fire up the wood burning stove, while enjoying a quiet night in with family and friends.
Dogs adore Penpol, running around the gardens, snoozing in the sun or curling up by the woodburner.
Cooking and Dining
Penpol has a large kitchen diner, complete with a four oven Aga and a pantry for you to make use of. There is a bar seating four for those who want to keep the cook company.
For those sunny days there is a terrace just outside the kitchen dining room with a table and seating for 12 . Dine alfresco taking in the wonderful view of Mevagissey harbour.
Bedrooms
Penpol has three lovely bedrooms, all en-suites. On the first floor, there is a Master bedroom with super king size bed and en-suite with roll top bath and shower, and a second bedroom with super king size bed or two singles and two chair beds. The Second floor bedroom has a super king size bed or two singles and an ensuite bathroom with roll top.
Each spacious bedroom has masses of storage, a TV and sofa or chairs, so everyone is comfortable and well catered for in every way.
Children welcome, and dogs too
At Penpol there’s something for everyone and different spaces and places for all ages. Penpol will put a smile on the faces of your family.
Children of all ages will enjoy board games in the sitting room and letting off steam in the gardens.

Autumn and Winter in Mevagissey
Mevagissey is still just as charming in winter. Boats bob in the harbour and the cottages are beacons of colour along the quiet, winding streets. The fish and chips are still to die for and the pubs and restaurants glow with a warm welcome.
Wrap up for a walk on a beautiful, deserted beach. Enjoy tennis, golf, shooting and sailing on crisp, clear days. Make the most of Cornwall’s many attractions, including the Eden Project and St Ives Tate, when the maddening crowds are far away.
Christmas at Penpol
Change the scene this Christmas to bobbing boats and twinkling harbour lights. Come together as a family, with wood on the fire, lights on the tree and festive films on the TV. The wind might howl outside, the waves might lash at the town’s defences, but Penpol is a cosy Cornish haven of warmth and winter wonder.
After popping open the champagne, feasting on turkey and pud and unwrapping the presents, stroll along Mevagissey’s twisty street and the harbour wall to admire the stunning sea view before returning to enjoy Christmas cake in front of the fire.
