Spend the day at the beach.

The English Riviera is ripe for exploring, and with a bracing walk along Babbacombe Downs.  You can not only take in the spectacular coastline of South Devon, but also spot seabirds, seals and even dolphins from above.

A visit to Devon would not be complete without a day at Dartmoor’s famous Becky Falls to enjoy the very best that Dartmoor has to offer.

If it’s a faster pace of life you’re afte, a rush of adrenaline, get on your bike and get cycling, run, hike, climb. Not enough? Canoe some of the best water in the UK on the River Dart, take in the moor on horseback and challenge yourself.

Dartmouth is a haven for water sports, with lovely sandy beaches too.  You can enjoy the buzz of the village, go canoeing, kayaking, sailing or windsurfing.

Rainy days are brightened up with a visit to Bygones, a life-size recreation of a street from the Victoria era. Here you’ll find an apothecary, model railway and even a traditional Victorian sweet shop

Hailed in the Wild Swimming book as ‘…possibly the most magical wild swimming in Britain’, Dartmoor has some exceptional places to take a dip. You will find cool water reached via steep forests with natural pools and water slides.

A truly captivating family attraction in Devon, the Miniature Pony Centre. Set in an idyllic setting in the heart of scenic Dartmoor, there is plenty of beautiful countryside to explore while enjoy the afternoon with the miniature ponies.

Torquay is part of the stunning English Riviera. Torquay’s wonderful beaches are a must visit, and are linked to the South West Coast Path so are great for stopping off after a cycle around the local area.

Dartmouth is a lively, colourful seaside town. One of the smartest in England. Narrow streets house boutique shops, art galleries and delicatessens. Farmers’ markets supply the local gourmet restaurants, pubs and cafes.  Sweet shops sell the most delicious fudge.

South Devon is a mecca for yachts and sailing. Charter a yacht for the day, take a picnic and explore the beautiful coastline.
