Carrington House is an explosive, design-lovers’ dream in Snettisham on the North-Norfolk coast. Wade through the shagpile, put on your shades as you take in the enthusiastic retro wallpaper, and you just might make it to the basement. There lurks the soundproofed disco with DJ decks.
From the ten fuchsia lampshades suspended above the dining table to the Chinese lacquered furniture, Carrington House breaks the Norfolk hush with a rush of Mayfair chic. Upstairs, bedrooms burst with vivid flair. The names on the doors hint at their interiors: Chinoiserie, Hollywood, Bijou and Versace.
Adjoining the main action is a secluded three-bed cottage: the quiet, studious son of the playboy parents. A perfect escape from the party, it offers a small sitting room with board games and a telly. So pack up your Louis Vuitton bags, drive up to North Norfolk, open the yellow door in the Georgian facade.
Head into the Coach House and relax in the eight seater hot tub with colour changers and waterfalls. The perfect spot to unwind any time of day, and with all the bamboo garden furniture all your loved ones can be close by.
Enjoy the ultimate in exclusivity with a beautiful secret garden, hidden by copper beeches with a white, wrought iron gazebo and a glass-topped tree root table seating twelve. A sophisticated walled terrace, luxury sun loungers, a mirrored trellis and stunning patio furniture complete the experience.
