Weir House

Sleeps 10 Evenlode Valley, Cotswolds

A cottage turned country house

An award winning house in the heart of the Cotswolds with pool, spa, tennis court and playground. In a group of cottages converted from the Victorian stableyard and outbuildings of Bruern Abbey.

At Weir House hide-and-seek, children’s dens, a pool and spa come wrapped in luxury and dressed in honeyed stone

Weir House is more than a cottage. It’s a stylish, luxurious and well-equipped country house. A luxury get-away with open fireplaces and four-poster beds.  A family escape, built for children’s dens, hide-and-seek and dressing-up. There’s a puppet theatre, cupboards that overflow with toys, beanbags for flopping, garden play cabin and large plasma TV with surround sound.

People don’t grow up – they just change their toys. If that’s true, the Cotswold Shaker kitchen, shared spa, pool and gym will hit the spot nicely. After a family feast, throw open the doors and explore a playful Beaujolais under the vine-covered pergola or try a spot of croquet on the lawn.

Upstairs, marble bathrooms, four-posters, Louis XVI chairs and luxury en-suites are the well-upholstered norm. Colefax and Fowler, Farrow and Ball and Carrara are among the names you’ll recognise. Weir House is set in a group of ultra-stylish cottages, amongst beautifully landscaped gardens with a croquet lawn, playground and tennis court.

Weir House offers the comfort and attention to detail of a luxury hotel; the privacy, independence and space of your own home; and the civilised ease and style of English country house living. All in a Cotswold idyll of honeyed manor houses, meandering streams and country lanes.  The perfect Cotswolds escape.

Pool, spa and gardens

The light and bright pool house with a 12m heated pool and sun loungers is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, whether playing with the kids or just looking for some relaxation. The pool is shared.

Relax at the spa on site – all your pampering needs, from massages to facials and manicures to pedicures, can be fulfilled during your stay at Weir House. The spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world.

In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis courts, croquet pitch and swimming pool.

There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up gear, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.
