Silver & Birch Jewellery is created by artist Helen Lack in her studio on the edge of the New Forest. Each piece contains real flowers, which Helen grows organically in her cottage garden. The flowers are then encapsulated in resin to preserve their natural beauty forever.
This beautiful sterling silver necklace contains real Alyssum flowers and tiny fern leaves. Helen also makes a homeware range with some of the larger flowers she grows, including serving trays and wall art.
You can find them at www.silverandbirch.com
Holmegate seems located in a more innocent age. But the reality is better, because it’s just ten minutes from romantic Lulworth Cove and twenty from the sailing, surfing and kayaking at Studland Bay and the fossils and fine sands of Kimmeridge Bay. Inside, the period detail’s delicious, the logs are ablaze and your toes are a-curling. Holmegate is grand and gracious but it always feels like home. Curl up, cuddle up, get cosy with a book or a film on the TV. Rustle up some hearty fare on the Aga, get together round the chunky table, butter the bread and pour the wine. After dinner, table tennis and toys await in the games room, or air hockey and table football in the conservatory. In the bedrooms, you’ll sleep deeply in the crisp linen with the sash windows notched open. Wake up to the pure air of the nature reserve, take breakfast on the terrace, explore the coast, remember what family means.
