Sweet celebrations cloaked in honeyed stone

Cloaked in honey stone, Campden Edge is a sweet celebration venue or chill zone in the stunning North Cotswolds. Catch a movie in the cinema room, pile into the pool, get steamy in the sauna. Outside, the lawns and the kids will run forever.

As mellow as its Cotswolds stonework

Cloaked in honeyed stone and capped by thatch, Campden Edge is elegance itself, sitting in oak-beamed splendour on the edge of Chipping Campden, the jewel in the glittering Cotswolds’ crown.

Time here stands as still as the mellow stonework. Chill in the cinema room, slow down in the sauna, pile into the pool, get all Bublé on the baby grand. This is a place to chillax, a place where the acreage doesn’t end where the lawn stops.

Of course, if you want to celebrate, there’s nowhere better. The sunny terrace with its North Cotswolds backdrop is begging for a barbecue, our chef’s on call and the spaces are stunning. Just add guests and stir.

You’ll feel at home among the eclectic furnishings, the logburner that’s perfect for dipping into a potboiler, and the Drench showers, teardrop chandelier and marble bathrooms. Outside, the English lawns are ideal for floating and flirting, while a pergola offers quiet escape.

Pool and Gardens

The lower ground floor of Campden Edge is dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation, there’s an indoor swim jet heated pool, with a sculptured ceramic feature wall and lots of space to unwind and enjoy your surroundings.

The large redwood cedar sauna has beech seating with rainbow LED lighting to set the mood, so lie back and let your troubles melt away.

The large landscaped gardens open out onto a beautiful rolling meadow giving you plenty of space to explore. Interesting features include a ‘ha ha’ in the lower garden and the upper terrace provides a sunny area with sheltered seating beneath a circular pergola.

A terrace garden opposite the kitchen makes the perfect spot for al fresco dining with built in seating, table and a barbecue.

Living Spaces

In the Cinema Room one wall is dedicated to entertainment, with a giant projector screen 2 metres in width with surround sound and home cinema equipment. A comfortable sofa runs around the room perfect for movie nights with family and friends.

The lounge is a beautifully light and airy room, with flagstone flooring and large sumptuous rugs. It is divided into two areas, one with a corner sofa with a bespoke bookcase and TV unit, whilst the other end is more formal, with a Chesterfield style sofa and Baby Grand piano (a local pianist is available to book for private performances).

The study is a small cosy room ideal for reading, decorated in rust and taupe with a Shargreen campaign desk and bookcase.

Cooking and Dining

The beamed kitchen is very much the heart of the house. It comprises a stylish Loxleys oak kitchen, limestone tiled floor, granite worktops, seven ring gas range with griddle, two large ovens (one with facility for pizza/bread baking), combination oven, microwave, dishwasher and an American style fridge freezer.

There is a large solid timber table which seats up to ten, ideal for breakfast, lunch or informal suppers. Striking pendant lights illuminate the room for an intimate evening meal.

French doors open out from the kitchen onto a large south facing terrace with seating area and barbecue.

The main feature of the elegant dining room is the beautiful oval dining table in greyed oak which seats ten. A Tondo mirror, chandelier, warm purple tones and upholstered chairs complete the indulgent look.
